International Medical Development Corp.

“IMED CORP

“International Recruitment Program”

Overview

IMED CORP International Recruitment program has been successfully recruiting foreign trained healthcare workers since 1998 for some of the largest healthcare systems in United States.

Amongst these HCA, Tenet, Mercy Hospitals, HolyCross, Baptist Hospital Systems, Kindred Hospitals, Doctor’s Hospital, Panamerican Hospital, Grameercy Hospital, Weschester Hospital, Presbyterian Hospitals and many other stand alone hospitals and/or clinics in Florida, Texas, New Mexico, and Eastern and Westward States.

IMED CORP program includes all the essential steps, starting with recruitment and ending with orientation that places the individual in IMED CORP client facilities, legal and ready to work.  IMED Corp offers nurses and employers the means and ways to come to terms serving as a negotiator between both employer and nurses.

It offer hospital employers the guarantee of the quality of professional identified, profiled and recruited on behalf of the hospital; including an ‘unlimited, no-fault replacement guarantee for 1 year for nursing personnel.

The longest unlimited guarantee offered by an agent working with hospital employers.

Every nurse seeking registration and relocation to USA hospitals through IMED Corp. must be committed to at least 12 consecutive months of employment, without exceptions, except in case of State/Federal and/or death in family of close blood-related relatives.

IMED Corp. at the same time is equally committed to each relocating nurse offering transitioning support; amongst this support free or reimbursed traveling from country of origin to final State of employment by paying or reimbursement for such traveling, housing assist support by coordinating housing/apt rental, overlooking leasing and best terms for nurses, and looking after them for the best and most economical vehicle purchasing; additionally, IMED Corp support nurses seeking licensing and registration with the States’ Nursing Board communicating directly with Board on behalf of each nurse until nurse receive a Registered Nurse State License.

All IMED Corp services are free of charge to all participating nurses.

Transportation from arriving airports to housing, employers sites, and public agencies for driving licensing, light/water utilities registration, first day groceries, and general city tour and traveling to/from work prior to day one at work, etc. is offered too free.

Coordination of all steps and stages needed to successfully employers screening, Video-Resume interviewing, pre-employment processes and employee orientation and first-day-on-the-job employment.

IMED Corp Video-Resume screening ensures that both employers and nurses are a long lasting match with mutual commitment and legally responsible to each other.

IMED CORP has infrastructure to support a high volume contract under its Contingency and Retainer corporate plans. The first plan ‘contingency’ is the most commonly accepted by most hospitals.

Most hospital employers do not accept ‘up front payments for recruiting efforts by any firm for several reasons.

Number being the risk involved in paying for services that cannot be guaranteed when employing foreign educated healthcare professionals from any country; even Puerto Rico and other USA territories.

Contingency recruitment means recruiting agents like IMED Corp do not get paid until nurse pass probation periods, and recruiting fees are refundable when healthcare professionals are terminated for valid reasons, resigned or else.

IMED CORP global strategy, centralized expertise and a program that minimizes risk to the facility make it a win-win situation for hospitals and nurses.

IMED Corp takes great care in identifying, profiling and recruiting only those nurse who meet all the employer, State and IMED expectations.

Mainly, all nurses are required without exceptions the following:

  • Nurse registration – ADN or BSN degree from accredited nursing college/university
  • Nurse registration with the National Council State Board of Nursing in USA
  • Pass TOEFL –verbal and written English test –expected score only
  • Pass NCLEX exam
  • Exception to NCLEX exam - 2 consecutive years nurse experience

IMED CORP also recruits registered Nurses, Radiology and Rehab professionals, Pharmacists and laboratory personnel from local and international markets. All candidates must comply with USA licensing requirements.

Salaries, Benefits, Bonuses and other stipends

Nursing salary are estimated using standards from the USA Labor Department and all nurses, national or foreign once licensed as RN for any State, must be paid the same salaries offered to nurse of equal specialty and experience without exception.  How much one specialty and another is paid depends of many factors; these factors vary from State to State and fluctuate amongst regions depending on the laws of ‘supply’ and ‘demand”.

On average most nurse earn base salaries almost 2x times the average salary; real salaries range from the low $50’s to the high $90,000, plus benefits which in real terms puts nurses salaries above $100,000 annually.

Fringe benefits given out by employers include hospital/medical insurance for the nurse and family member, dental and visual insurance. Some insurance require a small payment from nurses, other are entirely free.

Holiday, extra-shifts, weekend and nights/evening differential pay scales

Additionally, nurses get paid for most holidays, usually over 12 each year at the rate of 1 1/2 times hourly wages for extra shifts, for shifts on weekends, nights and evening shifts.

This additional compensation adds a substantial yearly amount that may range from the low $10,000 to the high $30,000 annually.

In total the annual non-cash compensations given by hospitals to nurses is estimated natioanally at about 1\3 of the cash salary paid to nurses, or up $ 30,000 yearly; this includes contributions to retirement and pensions collected by nurses upon retirement or termination or vesting rights date.

Median annual earnings of registered nurses were $57,280 in May 2006. The middle 50 percent earned between $47,710 and $69,850.

The lowest 10 percent earned less than $40,250, and the highest 10 percent earned more than $83,440.

Median annual earnings in the industries employing the largest numbers of registered nurses in May 2006 were:

Employment services$64,260
General medical and surgical hospitals58,550
Home health care services54,190
Offices of physicians53,800
Nursing care facilities52,490

Many employers offer flexible work schedules, child care, educational benefits, and bonuses.

Nursing is a highly regarded profession.
